Shark Bay Austrilia

Shark BayAustralia
Shark Bay, located on the "Coral Coast" of Western Australia, is considered a World Heritage Site. It features a carbonate beach, and the water has a high level of salinity--hence, the abundance of cardiid cockles, a species of bivalve that thrives in high salt concentrations, on Shell Beach. Friendly bottlenose dolphins populate the surrounding waters, and are known to venture close to shore to play with human swimmers.
