This Thai marine park is an archipelago of approximately 50 islands, most of them inhabited. The beaches have a reputation for being among Thailand's most beautiful--but also its least known. Ko Tarutao, the park's biggest island, was once a prison. Today, its best beaches include Ao Phante Malaka and Ao Mo Lae, and waterfalls, coral reefs, limestone caves and ruined prison sites comprise the island's best sight-seeing. Monkeys and wild pigs roam the islands free.
